Head Office Relocation
In April 2007, after the successful sale of our Head Office in Ystalyfera, we relocated to a new site in Cwmbwrla a few miles from the city centre of Swansea.

This new bespoke and purposely designed working environment includes a multitude of high-tech ICT equipment, within excellent fully air conditioned offices, and enjoying the benefit of a large training room facility for staff and customers alike.

New ICT System
Due to the expansion of our branch network and customer base, coupled with our ever increasing product portfolio and depth of ranges in stock, we have recently invested in a completely new state of the art ICT system for the whole group. This system and the more efficient structures it is helping to implement within GMF will allow the company to continue in its goal of offering our customer base a second to none first class service.

New additions to the ICT systems and structures will also soon see our customers having the ability to check stocks and prices & to order from their local GMF depot at the touch of a button via the internet.

Coleford Branch Opens
October 2007 saw our longest established business area given the benefit of a further warehouse distribution facility. Our Forest of Dean site at Parkend now has a big brother branch in an 11000sq ft depot four miles away in Coleford.

Our Parkend branch has enjoyed tremendous success over the past few years but has now reached bursting point and a decision was taken to add a further warehouse distribution centre to the Forest of Dean area. This will now allow the continuation of further increased stock profiles and delivery vehicles for both the Parkend and Coleford sites.

Our new Coleford site will see our product holding increase by over 50% in the West Gloucestershire area and our Parkend site will once again be able to grow further in it’s Commercial Vehicle, Paint & refinishing and Car Parts market.

Latest Branch Opening

Following our continued success we have opened yet another new branch! The latest addition to GMF is in Newport.

GMF opened their 9th branch in Newport on September 1st 2005. The Branch Manager, Cliff Warner and his experienced team have
now completed their first 6 months of trading and are already adding more vehicles to their fleet. With this expanding vehicle fleet and over £300k of stock, GMF are able to meet the service levels
they expect in order to serve their customer base efficiently.

Bosch launch
It’s exciting times for GMF and Bosch in Gloucestershire and South Wales as we have now launched the first phase of our Bosch product programmes.
With an initial investment of £250k being spent on Diesel, Fuel Injection, Lighting, Rotating Electrics, Spark Plugs, Wiper Blades and Diagnostic Equipment, we can now be considered as the major stockist of Bosch in South Wales and the Gloucestershire area.
